What if your next cycling challenge in Mallorca wasn’t about speed, but about connection, purpose, and giving back?
In an island famed for its world-class cycling routes, dramatic mountain climbs and coastal beauty, one initiative stands apart. Not for how fast you ride - but for why you ride.
Founded in 2017 by Mallorca resident Bryan Visser, 6Points Cycling Challenges has redefined what a cycling event can be: a fully supported, multi-day cycling experience that combines adventure, community, and meaningful charity impact.
A New Way to Experience Cycling in Mallorca
After years of participating in competitive races such as the Mallorca 312, Bryan found himself craving something different. While the adrenaline and achievement were undeniable, the pressure, pace, and crowds often overshadowed the experience itself.
So he set out to create an alternative: a supported cycling tour in Mallorca designed for enjoyment, not competition.
The concept was refreshingly simple. A three-day cycling challenge across the island, allowing riders to fully immerse themselves in Mallorca’s landscapes - from the Tramuntana mountains to the Mediterranean coastline - while sharing the journey with like-minded people.
No racing. No pressure. Just the ride.
Starting from Port Adriano, participants stay in some great hotels along the route, with time to relax, connect, and enjoy the social side of cycling. On the road, a dedicated support team ensures everything runs smoothly - from luggage support and mechanical assistance to food stops and encouragement when it’s needed most.
Crucially, the event is designed to be inclusive.
Whether you are an experienced cyclist or someone stepping into their first cycling holiday in Mallorca, 6Points offers different route options to suit varying abilities.

Cycling for Charity: Giving Back to Mallorca
What truly sets 6Points apart is its charitable foundation. Every euro raised by participants goes directly to local causes. There are no hidden deductions - the entire event is run by volunteers, ensuring 100% of funds raised support the charities.
Since its inception, the initiative has raised over €333,500 for organisations making a real difference in Mallorca.
Three core Mallorca charities benefit from the event:
- Asdica, supporting young adults with disabilities and their families
- Shambhala Foundation, helping at-risk youth build independent, meaningful lives
- SOS Animal, rescuing and rehoming abandoned animals across the island
This model transforms the ride into something far more impactful than a typical Mallorca cycling event. Every kilometre contributes to tangible change within the local community.
My Experience: A Personal Perspective
Having taken part in the 6Points Cycling Challenge myself, I can say without hesitation that this is not an elite endurance ride. I personally am not a cycling fanatic by any means, but I do like keeping myself fit throughout the year - with a mixture of cycling, walking, yoga and the gym. I try to go out cycling at least once a week - although this year much less, since the weather this year was the wettest on record since 1961! I still have nearly a month to go and I'll be giving it my best. Not to be in the first to finish, but I definitely intend to finish, and that's the point. There is a category for each level of fitness, from the elite Everest Group to the beginner Latter Level 1 group for those who have never taken part in an official event.
Yes, it is physically demanding - with daily distances ranging from 80 to 150 kilometres according to the group category - but what defines the experience is the atmosphere.
There is a genuine sense of camaraderie from start to finish. Riders support one another, celebrate together, and share in both the challenges and the triumphs.
For me, the most powerful moment came at the finish line.
We were greeted by members of Asdica - their smiles, their energy, their gratitude impossible to ignore. Receiving my medal from one of the young men there, with such pride and joy, was deeply moving.
It was a reminder that this wasn’t just about completing a ride. It was about contributing to something meaningful.

Real Impact: Where the Funds Go
Beyond the ride itself, 6Points maintains a strong connection with the charities it supports.
At Asdica, funding helps provide essential services such as physiotherapy, psychological support, and social programmes for individuals aged 18-25 - a group often left without adequate support once government funding ends.
The Shambhala Foundation works with young adults facing social exclusion, offering education, fitness training, and personal development programmes. Their mission is to empower individuals - or “warriors” - to build independent, purposeful futures.
Meanwhile, SOS Animal continues its vital work rescuing and caring for abandoned animals. With hundreds of animals taken in each year, the need for funding - covering food, medical care, and shelter - remains constant.
The contribution from 6Points is not symbolic. It is essential.
A Growing Community with a Shared Purpose
What began with just six riders in 2017 has evolved into a thriving international community.
6Points now hosts cycling challenges not only in Mallorca, but also in Ibiza, Menorca and Tenerife, alongside women’s rides, social cycling events throughout the year, and virtual rides for those training from abroad.
Despite this growth, the ethos remains unchanged. This is not about mass participation. It is about meaningful connection.
The organisers are careful to maintain the intimate, supportive atmosphere that defines the experience - ensuring every rider feels part of something special.
The Mallorca Cycling Challenge: Routes and Experience
The flagship event takes place annually in Mallorca each spring, offering three route options:
- Valles – 2 groups I and II with a more accessible route (approx. 373km over three days , Group I is open to 1st time eventers.)
- Montañas – a challenging mid-level option (approx. 415km)
- Everesting – an extreme endurance route for elite cyclists(over 533km and 8,945m of climbing, equivalent to the height of Mount Everest)
All routes are fully supported, with expert guidance, rest stops, and logistical support throughout.
But beyond the physical challenge, what riders remember most is the experience - the stunning Mallorcan landscapes, the conversations, the shared meals, and the sense of achievement that goes beyond performance metrics.
More Than a Cycling Holiday in Mallorca
In a destination known globally for cycling, 6Points offers something refreshingly different.
It is a cycling holiday in Mallorca with purpose - combining adventure, wellbeing, and philanthropy in a way that few events achieve.
For those looking to challenge themselves, meet inspiring people, and give back to community, it represents a unique opportunity.
Why You Should Consider 6Points
You don’t need to be an elite cyclist to take part. You simply need a willingness to try.
In Mallorca we have structured training rides throughout the year, and a warm and welcoming community full of encouragement.
During the event there is full on-road support, with numerous snack and rest breaks along the way - but what makes it special are the people you meet along the way, the comeraderie we exchange and 6Points makes what might seem impossible feel entirely achievable.
And in doing so, it reminds us of something important:
That the most rewarding journeys are not always the fastest - but the ones with meaning behind them.
