Ladies, when did you last set aside a whole day to understand your health, with time to listen, learn and spend time with other women asking similar questions?
Perhaps your sleep has changed, your energy feels unpredictable, or you are wondering where to begin with the often-conflicting advice around menopause. Perhaps you feel well and simply want to stay informed as you move into your next chapter. Either way, this forthcoming event in Palma, Mallorca, offers an opportunity to give yourself that time.
On Saturday, 17 October 2026, the Women’s Integral Health Festival will bring together healthcare and wellbeing professionals at Sadhana Works, in Palma’s central Borne district, for a day focused on women’s health after 40. With talks in English and Spanish, practical experiences and opportunities to connect, its aim is to help women approach midlife with greater understanding and confidence.

Changing the Narrative Around Menopause
Organised by María del Mar García, founder and director of Beyond Health, the festival centres on a simple idea: everything is connected.
A physiotherapist specialising in emotional and nervous system regulation, María del Mar has created the event to bring different professional perspectives into the same conversation: hormonal health, sleep, nutrition, movement and emotional wellbeing will all have a place in the programme.

Life can feel distressing and confusing when perimenopausal and menopausal symptoms arrive, and you find yourself trying to make sense of several changes at once: perhaps insomnia, anxiety, mood swings, weight changes, chronic pain, brain fog or a loss of sexual desire. Each symptom may be treated by a different specialist, without anyone necessarily connecting the dots.
The organisers’ intention is to offer an informed, positive perspective, so you can hear from people with different areas of expertise rather than piecing together all the information yourself, and to provide a space where women can explore subjects that can be difficult to raise elsewhere.
“Each symptom may be treated by a different specialist, without anyone necessarily connecting the dots.”
The Questions We Want Answered
The morning begins with registration and welcome tea from 9.30am. Opening presentations will commence at 10.30am with Founder of Beyond Health, María del Mar, entitled "Everything Is Connected”, talking about the importance of understanding ourselves as a whole, interconnected ecosystem.
Through the gut-brain axis and the vagus nerve, we can begin to understand how our emotions affect our physical health, and how our physical health, in turn, influences our emotions.
She’ll also explore how we are constantly shaped by our relationship with the environment around us, and how epigenetics and the exposome help us understand the profound influence our lifestyle and surroundings have on our health. Artist Sylvia Baker de Perkal will follow with an inspirational reflection on creativity, It’s Never Too Late…, before the programme turns to some of the questions many women want to understand better.
Gynaecologist Dr. Mercedes Febles will discuss hormone therapy, separating fears from facts. Dr. Michelle Germe, founder and director of ABC Mallorca, will then look at the brain during perimenopause, exploring sleep, memory, concentration and emotional wellbeing, topics that may feel especially relevant if you have been wondering why you no longer quite feel like yourself.

Mid-morning, a breathwork session offers a chance to pause and reset before the next talks.
Dietitian and anti-inflammatory nutrition specialist Antonella Granados will address the gut microbiome, nutrition and emotions, while physiotherapist and biohacking and longevity specialist Álvaro Mejía will focus on strength training during perimenopause. For readers following my recent bone-health series, this is an opportunity to continue the conversation about muscle, bone health and movement.
Pelvic floor physiotherapist Marika Fraczek will explore incontinence, sexuality and intimate wellbeing after 40, giving these sometimes-overlooked subjects a place on the agenda.
The appeal is the breadth of the day: an opportunity to hear different perspectives and identify the subjects you would like to explore further in your own care.
Space to Reflect and Experience
After the lunch break, the programme widens to mindfulness, emotional experiences and the ways our environment and lifestyle relate to health.
Author and mindfulness teacher Anton Teruel will present Awakening After 40. Dr. Mariana Harpreet, founder and director of Sadhana Works, will introduce family constellations and transgenerational patterns, and functional and integrative medicine specialist Dr. Alejandra Stivaletta will give a talk on the exposome and epigenetics, exploring health beyond our genes.
A Kundalini energy activation with Dr. Mariana Harpreet adds an experiential element to the afternoon. Like the morning breathwork, it sits alongside the talks as an opportunity to pause, participate and explore the festival’s wellbeing offering. The line-up also includes sound healer Nilda Ayala and energy healer Maria Simurina.
Take the Conversation Out to Sea
For those choosing a catamaran voyage, the day continues beyond the main programme, which finishes at 5pm.
A mindful walk towards La Lonja leads into boarding a catamaran for a 6pm to 8pm sunset cruise across the Bay of Palma, with a sound healing session and closing ritual. It’s a memorable way to round off the day, continuing the conversation with new friends as the evening settles over the bay.
More Than a Conference: An Investment in the Rest of Your Life
Yes, this is a day about connection, but it is so much more than that. For many women, it could be one of the most valuable days they ever give themselves. Perimenopause and menopause are not just something to get through. How we understand and manage this transition shapes how well we age, in our bones, our brain, our heart, our mood and our relationships. Bringing together specialists who are rarely in the same room offers something hard to find elsewhere: the full picture, practical tools you can use straight away, and the confidence to approach menopause and beyond as the start of a healthy, vibrant next chapter.

Add breathwork, Kundalini and, for catamaran guests, a mindful walk and a sunset sail with sound healing. All of it is shared with like-minded women, and you will leave informed, inspired and genuinely connected.
Come with a friend, or come on your own: sharing a day with people who are curious about the same subjects can be a valuable part of the experience.
Although the focus is women aged 40 and over, the festival is open to women of all ages, and the earlier you understand what lies ahead, the better prepared you will be. You do not need to be experiencing menopause to be interested in understanding this stage of life. Knowledge is power.
A Message from the Founder
“I created this festival because I believe women deserve to understand what is happening to them. For far too long, we have normalised symptoms, discomfort, and changes without really understanding their origins. I want women to know that they do not have to experience this stage of life through fear or resignation.
At Beyond Health, everything begins with one simple but fundamental idea: everything is connected. We cannot talk about hormones without talking about the brain, the nervous system, sleep, nutrition, movement, or emotions. This is why I believe so strongly in multidisciplinary teams.
No single professional has all the answers. But when different specialists work together, we can offer a much more complete understanding of health. My hope is that every woman attending the festival leaves with more knowledge, more practical tools, and, above all, a more positive perspective on herself and this stage of her life.
It is not about simply surviving this chapter of life. It is about living it to the fullest.”

A New Stage, Not an Ending
The Women’s Integral Health Festival proposes a different perspective on healthy ageing for women.
“Turning 40, 50, or 60 does not mean leaving behind wellbeing, sexuality, strength, or the ability to enjoy life.”
It means entering a new stage of transformation, one that deserves understanding, appropriate healthcare, and support.
