Yoga del Mar Spirit Festival Mallorca 2026: Evolution, Rebirth & Belonging

Evolution. Rebirth. Belonging. Three simple words, but they perhaps reflect something much bigger than a four-day wellness festival in Mallorca.

Taking place from 27 to 30 August 2026 at Only Summer Finca in Llubí, in the heart of Mallorca, the fourth edition of the Yoga del Mar Spirit Festival brings together yoga, meditation, breathwork, sound healing, ecstatic dance, live music, workshops, conscious connection and community.

But while the programme continues to evolve, one thing remains firmly at the heart of the Yoga del Mar Spirit Festival: belonging.

As our lives become increasingly digital, fast-paced and, ironically, disconnected, the desire for genuine human connection seems stronger than ever. The Spirit Festival has been created around that very idea: bringing people together to move, explore, connect, celebrate and perhaps discover a little more about themselves along the way.

For festival founder Nina-Gyana, evolution is fundamentally about growth.

We are here to learn and evolve through our experiences,” she explains.

And often, she believes, it is the difficult moments in life, such as loss, illness, break-ups or major change, that push us onto a deeper path and encourage us to question who we are and why we are here.

Creating the festival has been its own journey of evolution. This year, Nina-Gyana is carrying the organisation herself after starting out with three organisers. There have been moments of fear and doubt, she admits, but she keeps returning to her “why”.

That why has become increasingly clear.

People have told her that the Spirit Festival has been the highlight of their year, that they have made lifelong friendships there, or even decided to move to Mallorca because of connections they made at the festival. Others have arrived during difficult periods in their lives and found something healing.

Perhaps that is why belonging has become such an important part of this year’s theme.

“We have this deep human need to belong to something bigger than ourselves,” says Nina-Gyana. “To learn from others, contribute our talents and create something together.”

More Than a Yoga Festival in Mallorca

If you hear the words yoga festival and immediately think, “That’s probably not for me”, the Yoga del Mar Spirit Festival may surprise you.

Yoga is certainly part of the programme, but it is only one element of a much bigger four-day experience.

The 2026 programme includes different styles of yoga alongside meditation, breathwork, sound healing, ecstatic dance, live world music, kirtan, Family Constellation, men’s and women’s circles, workshops and experiential practices. The official programme also features acro yoga, handstand workshops, yoga nidra, active meditation, sound journeys and a wide variety of movement and consciousness-based experiences.

Nina-Gyana describes the Yoga del Mar Spirit Festival as a “playground for spirituality”, somewhere you can safely step outside your usual boundaries and perhaps discover something unexpected about yourself.

Maybe you have always thought, “I don’t dance”, or “Meditation isn’t for me.”

What happens when you try anyway?

“Sometimes what we need isn’t necessarily what we think we want,” Nina-Gyana says. “An experience we resist can actually offer us something valuable.”

You don’t need to know exactly what you’re looking for. You can simply arrive curious and explore.

Sometimes that can be where the magic begins.

A Mallorca Wellness Festival for Connection and Community

I attended the Yoga del Mar Spirit Festival last year and found it both hugely enjoyable and insightful.

The setting itself is part of the magic: Only Summer Finca in Llubí is a beautiful, tranquil location with views towards the Tramuntana mountains in the distance. There was a wonderfully varied programme of activities and events, making it possible for different generations and interests to find their own way into the experience. There was also a dedicated children’s area with children’s activities, enabling parents to fully immerse themselves in their preferred activities, a refreshing pool and chill-out space, and a lovely selection of healthy food stands.

This year, Nina-Gyana has brought the artisan and food markets together into one vibrant space, alongside a chill-out area and live music.

Community circles before the evening concerts will provide another opportunity for people to meet, connect and feel part of the wider festival experience.

And that sense of community is deliberate.

Yoga del Mar Spirit Festival is not intended to be simply a collection of classes that you attend and then leave. The intention is to create a place where people can feel welcomed, seen and part of something, particularly for those living on an island who may sometimes miss family, old friendships or a sense of belonging.

There is something rather lovely about the mixture of new and familiar faces: people returning year after year, newcomers arriving for the first time, and connections forming naturally between them.

Why Spirit Festival Is Staying Small

As Yoga del Mar Spirit Festival grows, Nina-Gyana is very conscious of protecting what makes it special.

The festival can now welcome around 500 people per day, but she has no desire to turn it into a mass event.

“I would rather have 500 people who genuinely connect with the experience than 1,000 simply because we wanted to make it bigger,” she says.

Having recently experienced a festival with almost 1,000 people herself, Nina-Gyana noticed how quickly the energy could change as numbers increased.

For her, intimacy matters. People need to feel safe, welcomed and seen if they are going to go inward, trust, let go and open themselves to something new.

That is perhaps one of the most appealing things about Spirit Festival. It is growing, but the intention is not simply to become bigger.

The intention is to become deeper.

Stepping Outside Your Comfort Zone

There is an interesting tension at the heart of this year’s theme.

Evolution requires us to change, yet most of us are remarkably attached to our ideas about who we are.

I don’t dance. I’m not spiritual. Yoga isn’t really my thing. I don’t meditate. That’s not for me.

But what if those statements are simply definitions we have created for ourselves?

Nina-Gyana believes that stepping beyond those boundaries can create space to discover something new, not just a new practice, but something about ourselves.

Perhaps an emotion comes to the surface. Perhaps something unexpectedly resonates. Perhaps you discover that the thing you thought wasn’t “you” is precisely what you needed.

There may be fear involved, but moving through that fear can create growth.

“You never know what might open up for you,” she says.

And perhaps that is the essence of evolution.

Giving Back to Mallorca and the Natural World

There is another dimension to the Yoga del Mar Spirit Festival that feels particularly relevant to a wellness event rooted in Mallorca: its relationship with the natural environment.

As an island festival, and one connected so closely to the sea, Nina-Gyana feels a responsibility to give something back to the place that provides its home.

This year, Spirit Festival is supporting CleanWave and projects including MedGardens, which works to regenerate underwater forests in the Balearic Islands.

For Nina-Gyana, this is a natural extension of yoga.

“Yoga is not simply what happens on a mat; it is a way of living, how we relate to nature, to other people and to ourselves.”

It is a philosophy I particularly like.

Wellness can so easily become focused on the individual, how we look, how we feel, how we perform and how we optimise ourselves.

But perhaps genuine wellbeing also asks a bigger question:

How do I want to walk on this Earth?

Sometimes happiness is found in much simpler things: nature, connection, giving rather than taking, and living with greater awareness.

Inner regeneration and regeneration of the natural world are, perhaps, more connected than we realise.

What Makes Yoga del Mar Spirit Festival Special?

Ultimately, though, it is the people who create Spirit Festival.

Nina-Gyana remembers standing on stage last year, watching everyone dancing, laughing, hugging and celebrating together. There was so much love in the atmosphere that it brought tears to her eyes.

It was the moment when a vision she had carried for years had become something tangible.

Yet she doesn’t really see herself as creating it alone. The artists, teachers, volunteers, team members and participants all bring something of themselves to the experience.

And perhaps that is the real evolution of Yoga del Mar Spirit Festival.

Nina-Gyana’s hope is that it increasingly becomes “something created by the community, for the community.”

Perhaps, in time, the four-day festival will grow into something larger, a community here in Mallorca with regular gatherings, shared experiences and an even deeper sense of connection.

Finding Your Tribe in Mallorca

There is something particularly poignant about the idea of belonging right now.

We can be more digitally connected than ever, yet many people feel increasingly isolated.

We can communicate instantly across continents, but how often do we simply sit with someone, look into their eyes, share a hug, laugh together or dance without worrying about how we appear?

Perhaps what we are really craving is something much simpler.

A conversation. A shared experience. A sense of being welcomed.

A group of people who quickly stop feeling like strangers.

A tribe.

And that may be the most interesting thing about Yoga del Mar Spirit Festival.

You might arrive because you love yoga. You might come for the music. You might be curious about breathwork or meditation.

You might simply want four days somewhere beautiful in Mallorca.

Or perhaps you don’t really know why you’re coming at all.

But somewhere between the movement, music, laughter, stillness, connection and celebration, you may discover something you weren’t expecting.

Maybe a new practice. Maybe a new friendship. Maybe a new perspective. Or maybe simply a reminder of what it feels like to belong.

And perhaps that is the real evolution.

The Line-Up

Part of what makes Yoga del Mar Spirit Festival so special is its line-up, a rich mix of local talent and internationally renowned practitioners and artists.

Musically, the festival spans everything from soul-stirring kirtan to full-body ecstatic movement. Highlights include The Hanuman Project, whose concerts blend world music, tribal beats and spiritual frequencies, and Franko Heke, whose ceremonial “Future Mantra Dance” weaves together mantra, Māori song, haka and electronic sound. JPool brings ecstatic tribal dance with live instruments, David Lurey leads heart-opening kirtan circles, and SetSun layers handpan and guitar into meditative soundscapes.

On the mat, there is something for every body and every level. Internationally renowned Jivamukti teacher Gabriela Bozic joins the programme alongside the festival’s own Nina-Gyana and Yasmin with their signature Yoga del Mar Flow, Natalija’s Hatha Yoga Flow set to live music, Malva’s Synergy Yoga, Atma’s Kundalini Rebirthing, Conor Creighton’s Big Love Workshop, and playful handstand and acro yoga sessions, and many more gifted practitioners.

Beyond the mat, expect transformational breathwork with Marcos and Coco Achinger, a cacao ceremony with Kakaochi, medicine music and shamanic circles, men’s and women’s circles, and even an introduction to shamanism.

And that really is just a taste. Check out the full line-up for more.
